FabLab Parma

FabLab Parma is the digital manufacturing laboratory managed by APS On/Off in collaboration with the cooperative Gruppo Scuola and born within Officine ON/OFF , a project promoted by the Department of Youth Policies of the Municipality of Parma. It is open to everyone, especially to the public interested in extending and / or share their knowledge and skills on digital fabrication and express their creativity.

The FabLab Parma is born inside Officine ON/OFF , project promoted by the Department of Youth Policies of the Municipality of Parma, conceived and managed by the Onlus Social Cooperative School Group in collaboration with the Association of Social Promotion ON/OFF, with the decisive contribution of the Foundation Cariparma. Opened on November 23rd 2013, Officine ON/OFF is an open space, a skills aggregator, a collaborative community that uses tools sharing like the coworking to support of employability is of youth entrepreneurship . From its opening, it makes available to young, adults, associations, collectives and informal groups work stations, opportunities for exchange of skills and vocational initiatives. Its long-term goal is to “give back” to the Territory the flow of professional experiences that generates and welcomes: users in fact return to the Community the opportunities received by employing a some of their time and skills to support social utility projects.

The FabLab offers opportunities not only for single persons, but also for organizations, public administrations, companies, start-ups, schools, universities, associations and non-profit organizations.
It's difficult to combine our services into standard categories: they are design, prototyping and customization services strictly connected to the potential of our machines and our know how, whose combination possibilities are customizable, flexible and (almost) infinite.
