ADDITIVE FVG is an initiative launched by Friuli Innovazione, business accelerator in Udine, in collaboration with Cluster COMET Metalmeccanica Fvg and the participation of the University of Udine. ADDITIVE FVG supports companies in the uptake of advanced production technologies, stimulates change in business models, improves skills, and promotes investments for new "additive" startups. The project is centered on ADDITIVE FVG SQUARE, a shared space open to collaboration, which is dedicated to developing the skills of companies in the field of additive technologies. ADDITIVE FVG is a cutting-edge center where companies can learn and experience additive technologies in a concrete and market-oriented way.

Thanks to its unique assets, FVG may become a European reference point on additive technologies. In FVG regions skills and competences are growing faster than in other EU regions and faster is the competitive use of these technologies by local companies.

In FVG Region we have

  • a leading global company which is a forerunner in the field of 3D technologies applied to orthopedics: Lima Corporate
  • LAMA (Advanced Mechatronics Laboratory) founded by the 3 regional universities, with a section dedicated to research and development of knowledge on additive technologies
  • a regional engineering cluster – COMET - including almost 4,000 companies
  • a special technology school aimed at a quality insertion into the world of work: ITS Malignani
  • Friuli Innovazione, research and technology transfer center that is managing the Scientific and Technology Park based in Udine, integrated and in close relationship with the research system, local companies and European dimension, with more than 200 partners across Europe and more than 40 Eu funded projects

We offer high level specialized training on industrial 3D printing with the aim to improve skills and competences of workers, students, Phd and professionals on Additive Manufactring technologiesnCooperation is key factor to foster a faster technological uptake of Additive Manufacturing. In Additive FVG large, medium and small size companies may find the best place to make research and development in a collaborative way. Moreover, through the certified incubator of Friuli Innovazione, new business ideas based on the full exploitation of Additive Manufacturing technologies potential may be supported and accelerated
